Ladies and gentlemen, the time has come….it’s been a year, but they are back!!  The Twin Princes are flying in to entertain and bring back all the magic of The King of Rock and Roll.  And now, another fantastic new venue has been lined up!!  It is time, once again, for THE ELVIS AND JESSE SHOW 2014 – VIVA BATON ROUGE !!!!

Elvis and Jesse   Viva Baton Rouge

Live at The Pelican House  August 23  9pm
2572 Citiplace Court  Baton Rouge, LA
Special guest  The Rusty Yates Band
$10 at the door  Live auction
Benefitting St. Jude Children’s Hospital and prostate cancer research

This year, our show is dedicated to our friend, Connie Mack Boykin, and the fund begun in his honor: www.onemanshoot.com, a Louisiana-based prostate cancer research fund.  And matching funds will be donated to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital in Memphis, to continue our support of one of Elvis’ favorite charities.

Our amazing orchestra has been expanded to include even more horns.  All the rhythm section of the band is back in place, and Rusty Yates is set to blaze the stage as our opening act!  PSS is once again donating our sound equipment – we are grateful to Brian Gordon and Russ Bryant for the years of help.  Pelican House came on board early and we are thankful.  The environment will again be intimate and we can touch the crowd.  Seating is readily available and service of food and drinks is easily accessible.  There will be a silent auction, as well, and we hope to work out some other perks for you.  All we ask is your $10 at the door.  This is an all-volunteer effort by the musicians involved – all of the Rusty Yates Band, all the E & J orchestra.  Plus, you can meet the South Louisiana Chapter of the Memphis Mafia!

My friends, you are all so good to me.  I hope you can do this one more thing for me this year.  We just want to have fun with you, provide you a great night of entertainment, and also give the Pelican House some good business to prove to them that we can pack a house.  There are new tunes in the set list this year, but I expect the leathers will have to make their annual appearance.

Please mark August 23 on your calendars and come to our annual fundraiser, The Elvis and Jesse Show – Viva Baton Rouge.  There are lots of hotels from which you could even walk to The Pelican House.  It is a late show, friends, so make it easy on yourselves.  Party all night at The Pelican with Elvis and Jesse, Rusty Yates, and the whole mafia!  We can’t wait to see you – thankyaverymuch….

So, that is all, really, for this month.  My calendars for August and September are up on the website, www.kirkholder.com.  Great continuing gigs, as we excitedly roll up to football season.  Big fun happening in the fall.  Thanks for all your support and kindness to me.  I hope to see you August 23 at The Pelican House.
